Apply for transportation capacity for housing projects earlier
Are you building one or more homes in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo? If so, it’s important that your project be submitted to the municipality on time. We can submit residential construction projects to the grid operator for transmission capacity earlier in the planning process.
We will assess whether your project is eligible and submit the application to the grid operator.
Submitting a project does not guarantee transmission capacity. The grid operator has the final say on the allocation of capacity.
To which projects does this program apply?
This approach is intended for residential construction projects to be carried out within 10 years. For example:
- New construction;
- Demolition and new construction;
- Conversion of existing buildings into residential units;
- Expansion of an existing building to include additional residential units.
These projects are not eligible
This rule does not apply to:
- Making existing homes more sustainable;
- Increase in electricity consumption without additional housing;
- Applications for a charging station or other plans not related to housing construction.
Submit Your Project
Do you have a specific plan for housing construction? Submit your project by September 1, 2026, at the latest, using the digital form accessible via the button below. Please read the information below carefully first.
Have you already requested electricity for your project in June or July 2026 from the grid operator (for example, through a house number decision and an environmental permit or the Enexis transitional arrangement), but have not yet received a response? If so, please also register your project using the form accessible via the button below.
After you register
- Based on the policy guidelines, we determine the order in which housing projects are submitted to the grid operator. The priority list is expected to be published on September 10. After that, you have 10 calendar days to file an objection.
- If projects are tied for the same position on the ranking list according to the policy rules, a random draw will determine the final order.
- Based on the final sequence list, we will request transmission capacity from the grid operator starting October 1, 2026.
Securing a position on the priority listdoes not automaticallymean that transmission capacity is available. This continues to depend on the capacity available from the grid operator.
