Apply for transportation capacity for housing projects earlier

Are you building one or more homes in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo? If so, it’s important that your project be submitted to the municipality on time. We can submit residential construction projects to the grid operator for transmission capacity earlier in the planning process.

We will assess whether your project is eligible and submit the application to the grid operator.

Submitting a project does not guarantee transmission capacity. The grid operator has the final say on the allocation of capacity.

To which projects does this program apply?

This approach is intended for residential construction projects to be carried out within 10 years. For example:

  • New construction;
  • Demolition and new construction;
  • Conversion of existing buildings into residential units;
  • Expansion of an existing building to include additional residential units.

These projects are not eligible

This rule does not apply to:

  • Making existing homes more sustainable;
  • Increase in electricity consumption without additional housing;
  • Applications for a charging station or other plans not related to housing construction.

Submit Your Project

Do you have a specific plan for housing construction? Submit your project by September 1, 2026, at the latest, using the digital form accessible via the button below. Please read the information below carefully first.

Have you already requested electricity for your project in June or July 2026 from the grid operator (for example, through a house number decision and an environmental permit or the Enexis transitional arrangement), but have not yet received a response? If so, please also register your project using the form accessible via the button below.

To register, you will need the following information

  • Project Name
  • Project location, provided as a polygon
  • Owner of the location

  • Project status (e.g., final environmental permit, approved environmental plan)
  • Planned construction start date and expected completion date
  • Number and type of connections for residential units by phase of the construction project
  • Number and type of connections for shared facilities, including the desired flow rate (e.g., a shared system, elevator, or parking facility)
  • Number and type of connections for inseparable activities, including the desired throughput capacity (these are functions associated with the housing development, such as retail spaces or public spaces in the same building)
  • Heating method at the planning level (e.g., district heating, individual heat pumps, community heat pumps, or hybrid heat pumps)
  • Are you a contractor or developer? If so, you must also provide proof that your project will be completed within 10 years. If you are unable to provide such documentation, please include a copy of the environmental plan that demonstrates the housing need.

Submit a Project

  • Submita separate formforeach project.
  • Does a project consist of multiple phases? If so, youmust register each phase separately, because a separate application must be submitted to the grid operator for each phase.
  • The maximum file size is32 MB per fileand128 MB for all attachments combined.
  • Applications may be submitted throughSeptember 1, 2026. Any additions or corrections resulting from a request for missing information must also be submitted by this date at the latest.
  • You will receive aconfirmation of receipt within 4 business days after submission.

Only complete applications can be considered when compiling the ranking list. Is your application incomplete? If so, you will receive an email about this as soon as possible. We will then ask you to provide the missing information. All required documents must be submitted in full by September 1, 2026, at the latest. After that date, no further additions can be made. So be sure to submit your project as soon as possible!

About the requested information

Most fields are required and based on the grid operator’s requirements. If certain details are not yet final, please enter the most realistic estimate possible. The grid operator uses this information to determine the required transmission capacity. Please note that requested capacity cannot easily be increased later. If it ultimately turns out that more capacity is needed than was originally requested, a new application must be submitted. A limited safety margin is understandable, but given the scarcity on the power grid, it is important to use this margin responsibly.

After you register

  • Based on the policy guidelines, we determine the order in which housing projects are submitted to the grid operator. The priority list is expected to be published on September 10. After that, you have 10 calendar days to file an objection.
  • If projects are tied for the same position on the ranking list according to the policy rules, a random draw will determine the final order.
  • Based on the final sequence list, we will request transmission capacity from the grid operator starting October 1, 2026.

Securing a position on the priority listdoes not automaticallymean that transmission capacity is available. This continues to depend on the capacity available from the grid operator.
