Volunteer Appreciation

Honorary citizenship is the highest honor bestowed by the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. This special title is awarded in exceptional cases and is intended for individuals who have made a significant contribution to the municipality and have thereby gained national recognition. This may include residents of Geldrop-Mierlo, as well as people from outside the municipality.

The Silver Service Award is a token of appreciation for residents and non-residents of the municipality who have made an exceptional contribution to the community of Geldrop-Mierlo through their volunteer work.

Every year, Mierlo selects its “Mierlose Person of the Year”—someone who selflessly helps others without seeking recognition. You can nominate someone you believe deserves this award. To do so, please send an email to stichtingmierlosemens@gmail.com.
