Penalty payments for failure to make timely decisions

What is it?

A penalty is a fine that the municipality must pay to you. The municipality can receive this fine when the municipality is late in making a decision on your application or objection.

What to do.

Indicate penalty notice of default

You must report to the municipality itself that it has made the mandatory decision late. You do this by submitting the above application.

You are not entitled to a penalty payment if:- the municipality was notified by you too late.- you are not directly involved in the application on which the municipality makes a decision.- the application is not complete.

How long does it take?

The municipality must make a decision within 2 weeks of receiving the "penalty for failure to make a timely decision" application.

Additional information

You can also force the municipality to make a decision. You do this by appealing immediately after the decision period expires to the court.
