Exemption riding pedestrian area center Geldrop

What is it?

From November 1, 2019, camera surveillance will take place in the Korte Kerkstraat in Geldrop. Every vehicle with a license plate will be photographed and fined from that date. Only during window times, daily from 9:00 to 11:00, different rules apply. Then other vehicles may be driven, for example, to supply stores.

How does it work?

Driving exemption on Korte Kerkstraat

Do you need to be on Korte Kerkstraat with a motor vehicle? And cannot conduct your activities in the street within the window hours? Then you may qualify for an exemption. You can apply for the exemption from the municipality using the form on this page. You can also pick up the form at the desk of the town hall.

Moped waiver

Do you live in the Korte Kerkstraat? Do you have a valid disabled parking permit and drive a moped? Then you can also apply for an exemption. The dispensation is only for loading and unloading goods with your moped outside the window times.

Exemption

Is your company performing work on the Korte Kerkstraat on behalf of the municipality? If so, you may be exempt from the ban on driving on the street. In that case a notification requirement does apply. All rules regarding the exemption can be found in the "Policy rules for exemption of pedestrian traffic in the center of Geldrop".

Requirements

We do not grant an exemption for every activity on Short Church Street. For example, your activity must be incidental in nature. So you can apply for an exemption for a move or renovation. You cannot get an exemption for activities that are recurring, such as loading and unloading goods.

All rules regarding the granting of exemptions can be found in the 'Policy rules for exempting pedestrian traffic in the center of Geldrop' (see the link at the bottom of this page). In this policy rule you can also read under which Requirements we can change or withdraw an exemption.
