Help for Ukraine
War has been raging in Ukraine since February 2022. As a result, a large flow of refugees has started. Geldrop-Mierlo finds it important to contribute in this social task to provide a safe place for the refugees; we therefore receive Ukrainian refugees.

Old GGD building Station Street
The 33 Station Street property temporarily houses about 50 Ukrainian refugees.
Sporkehout 80
At the address Sporkehout 80 shelters have been established. Eight persons are accommodated here.
Lodge Building Infra Campus Helmond de Peel
In the lodge house of the Bouwinfra Campus Helmond de Peel, on the Goorsedijk in Mierlo, unaccompanied Ukrainian youths are accommodated. Supervision of these youths is provided by the organization Sterk Huis. There is room for about 50 youths.
Geldropseweg 70
The building at Geldropseweg 70 will temporarily house 25 Ukrainian refugees starting in mid-November
Housing
In addition, there are about 10 homes owned by the municipality where Ukrainian families are hosted; a total of about 40 people.
