Sewer connection request
What is it?
The municipality provides public sewer connection on private property. If your home or business is not connected to the sewer system, you will request a connection from the municipality.
- The municipality will provide the connection to the boundary of your property.
- On your own property, you must provide your own sewerage.
How does it work?
Are you not yet connected to the sewer system? Then you can submit an application to the municipality.
Requirements
Maybe you need a (new) sewer connection because of a renovation. Or because of another activity for which you have a permit. In that case, please read the regulations of your permit(s) before requesting a sewer connection.
What to do.
Here's how to request a sewer connection:
- Contact the municipality.
- Among other things, you pass on:
- your contact details
- The location, sizes, material and type of your connection
- a drawing of the pipes
- the reason for the connection
What does it cost?
The applicant pays all costs for making a sewer connection. The cost depends on the situation. Once your application has been processed, the municipality determines the amount of the costs. You will receive an invoice for this.
How long does it take?
The municipality shall determine the location and method of connection to the public sewer system. Any necessary adjustments to the public sewer and/or public road will be made by or on behalf of the municipality. The connection will not be made until you have paid the bill. Due to the contractor's schedule, you must allow for a period of several weeks between the time of payment and completion.
