Integration
What is it?
Are you coming to live in our municipality from outside the European Union and have a residence permit? Then chances are that you are required to integrate. Integration means learning the Dutch language. You will also learn how to find your way independently and how to participate. This way you can make a good start here.
Integration from Jan. 1, 2022
On January 1, 2022, the new Integration Act took effect. Since then, it has been the job of the municipality to guide you t in civic integration. Learn more about civic integration at www.inburgeren.nl.
The video is also available in the languages: English, Spanish, Farsi, Tigrinya, Somali, Arabic, Dari and Pashto.

You are a (family) migrant or other migrant
You are a family migrant if you:

- from a country outside the European Union
You must first take a basic Dutch exam at the Dutch embassy in that country. Once you are in the Netherlands, you must integrate within three years. You are responsible for your own integration, but we will help you.
