About Geldrop-Mierlo
Geldrop-Mierlo has about 40,000 inhabitants, is located in the urban area of Southeast Brabant and consists of the nuclei of Geldrop and Mierlo. Geldrop is the largest nucleus and has developed from a textile industrial municipality to a residential municipality with its own employment opportunities. Because of its favorable location between Eindhoven and Helmond, Mierlo with a more village-like character, has developed into a residential commune. Together Geldrop and Mierlo are woven into a beautiful mix of village and city, of nature and amenities! Geldrop-Mierlo has good accessibility because it is located near the highways A67 and A2 and Geldrop has its own train station.
Who are we?
We find it important to work customer- and solution-oriented and to show drive. Together with colleagues, residents and the business community we work towards a pleasant living environment, From each other and For each other. Within our organization we work in an informal atmosphere with short lines where policy and implementation are organized close to each other. Geldrop-Mierlo in the Brainport region
Geldrop-Mierlo is part of the Brainport region (one of the three main economic regions in the Netherlands). In the Brainport region business, education and knowledge institutions work together with the government to create a more favorable business climate. In this region there is a concentration of top technological companies, knowledge industry and high-quality manufacturing industry. The region is in full swing and this is also reflected in our municipality.
Where do we work?
The town hall is located at De Meent 2 in Geldrop. There we work together with colleagues, the College of Mayor and Aldermen, the Municipal Secretary and the Municipal Clerk’s Office. The Municipal Clerk's Office will be renovated in 2019 into a sustainable, gas-free and future-oriented building. A wonderful and modern working environment with plenty of space to meet and a fine company restaurant.
