Environmental Plan
Every municipality has one environmental plan. This contains all rules on spatial planning, environment, health and safe living environment. We are going to convert the current environment plan into a final plan. For this we start in the Genoenhuis neighborhood. How we do that you can read here.
Environmental Plan
The environmental plan replaces all zoning plans before 2024. In the environmental plan you will find what function an area has and what rules apply. For example, what the maximum building height is and how much noise is allowed. The rules from the environment plan can be viewed via the omgevingsloket. You can then search for a Map and see per location what rules and policies apply to that location. Do you need a permit? You can consult the environment counter for that too.
Towards a final environmental plan
We will convert the temporary environmental plan into a fully-fledged environmental plan no later than 2032. We are doing this step by step and primarily area by area. Genoenhuis is the first district where we will make the environmental plan permanent.
Environmental plan for Genoen House
Genoenhuis is the first subarea for which we will finalize the environmental plan. This includes the businesses on the west side of the Emopad and Amroth and recreational area De Smelen. For residents and business owners virtually nothing will change in terms of content. The zoning plans and regulations as now included in the temporary environment plan will be converted to the final environment plan.
Participation
The existing zoning plans and existing rules and rights are the starting point for the conversion from the temporary to the final plan. No plans for new spatial developments are foreseen. The adjustments are mainly intended to convert existing rules to new structure. We therefore choose a participation process that focuses primarily on informing residents and other stakeholders.

At a later date, the draft amendment to the environmental plan will be made available for public inspection. At that time there will be the opportunity to present any views. The start of this public inspection and viewpoint procedure will also be announced in Middenstandsbelangen.
