Waste collection
In our municipality, we collect household waste separately. The municipality determines how this is done and enforces the rules. Cure Afvalbeheer is responsible for implementation: they collect the waste, manage the containers, and respond to questions and complaints about waste collection.
How do you dispose of your waste?
The way you dispose of your waste depends on your type of home.
High-rise building
Do you live in an apartment (high-rise building)? Then use the underground containers in your neighborhood for residual waste and organic waste. These are suitable for 40-liter garbage bags and 25-liter pedal bin bags. You can open the container with your municipal card. The chip in the card registers the number of times you dispose of waste. If a container is full or broken, report this via the BuitenBeterApp or to Cure Afvalbeheer customer service (040 – 250 01 30). Please include the four-digit container number. You can also watch an instructional video on how to use the container.
Low-rise building
Do you live in a single-family home (low-rise)? Then you have a green mini-container for organic waste and a gray one for residual waste. The bins belong to the home and contain a chip that records the number of times they are emptied. On collection day, place them on the street before 7:30 a.m., with the lid closed and the opening facing the street. Place them no more than 50 centimeters from the curb and at least 30 centimeters from other objects. Health the bin does not weigh more than 70 kilograms and do not place any waste next to it. If your bin is broken, lost, or you want a different size, please contact Cure Afvalbeheer on (040 – 250 01 30). .
Glass and textiles
Glass and textiles can be taken to the containers in your neighborhood; you do not need a pass for this. Paper and PBD are collected from your home and should be placed in a securely closed box or PBD bag on the street on collection day.
Diapers and incontinence materials
Diapers and incontinence materials may be disposed of with the regular waste (at the normal rate), but you can also return them free of charge to the Geldrop recycling center, the underground container at OBS 't Schrijverke, Sporthal De Weijer (during opening hours), and at daycare centers.
Municipal Pass
The municipal card belongs to the home. If you move within the municipality, the card remains in the house. The card allows you to open underground containers and gives you access to the recycling center. If your card is lost or damaged, please contact Cure Afvalbeheer customer service at klantenservice@cure-afvalbeheer.nl or by phone at (040) 250 01 30.
