Waste collection
The municipality defines how waste is offered. Cure Afvalbeheer carries out the collection of household waste and the management of the containers. In Geldrop-Mierlo we work with underground containers in high-rise buildings and minicontainers in low-rise buildings for the collection of organic waste and residual waste. In the districts there are (underground) containers for the collection of textile and glass. Paper and PBD are collected at home, you put this in a sealed box or PBD bag at the street on the designated day.
Municipal Pass
For the delivery of residual waste and VGF waste in high-rise buildings and for bulky waste at the waste disposal site, you use the municipal pass. The pass belongs to the residence. When moving house within the municipality, the pass must be present in the house. Is the pass missing? Then you can request a new one from Cure within six weeks. When moving to another municipality, leave the pass behind in the home. Do not manipulate the pass (for example by making holes), to prevent damage to the chip.
For questions about the Municipal Pass, such as loss or damage, contact Cure Waste Management Customer Service at klantenservice@cure-afvalbeheer.nl or 040 - 2500130. Some services may incur charges, see Waste Collection.
Waste calendar
The waste is collected according to a fixed schedule. You can find the collection days for your address for all types of waste in the digital Refuse Calendar:
- AfvalWijzer - go to www.mijnafvalwijzer.nl and enter your zip code and house number. You can download the annual overview of collection days in PDF and print it if you wish.
- Cure app - you can find collection days in Cure's waste app. You can also set up notifications.
The digital calendar is always current. A printed version may contain outdated information.
Has your waste not been picked up according to the calendar? Report it within two working days using the form on the Cure Afvalbeheer website.
Underground containers in high-rise buildings
At high-rise buildings are underground trash containers with openings for 40-liter trash bags and 25-liter pedal bin liners. You open the container with the municipal pass. The pass contains a chip with address information and records the number of empties. Watch this video for instruction on how to use the underground container.
Is the container full or defective? Report this via the BuitenBeterApp or contact Cure's Customer Service at klantenservice@cure-afvalbeheer.nl or on 040 - 2500130. Mention the four-digit number of the underground container.
Minicontainers in low-rise buildings
Households in low-rise buildings have a green mini-container for VGF waste and a gray mini-container for residual waste. The containers belong to the home. The mini-container contains a chip with address information and records the number of empties. The collection truck has a computer that can read the chip and register empties.
Health that your mini-container(s) are at the street before 7:30 on the collection day. Please adhere to the following guidelines so that collection between 7:30 and 5:30 runs smoothly:

- Valve is closed
- Valve opening faces the street
- Maximum distance of 50 centimeters from the curb
- At least 30 centimeters away from containers or other obstacles (such as lampposts or parked cars)
- Maximum weight of 70 kilograms (normally filled GFT container)
- No trash next to or on the mini-container
Is your minicontainer broken, lost or do you want an extra or different size minicontainer? Please contact the Customer Service of Cure Waste Management at klantenservice@cure-afvalbeheer.nl or on 040 - 2500130. Charges are made for some services, see Waste collection.
Glass, textile and diaper containers.
There are containers for glass and textiles at central locations in the neighborhood. These are always accessible and you do not need a Municipal Pass to deposit glass or textiles in these containers.
Diapers are allowed in the residual waste. You will then pay the normal residual waste rate. Free drop-off of diapers can also be done at these locations:
- Geldrop environmental street
- Underground container at OBS 't Schrijverke
- Sporthal de Weijer (during sports hall opening hours).
- Nurseries
