Slot machine installation
What is it?
A slot machine is a machine that allows you to win money, like a slot machine. With a skill machine, you can't. Think of a pinball machine or video games.
- If you want to place a slot machine in your business, you need an attendance permit. You can apply for this permit from the municipality.
- You do not need an attendance permit for a dexterity machine.
What to do.
How does it work?
- Only catering establishments and slot machine halls are allowed to place a slot machine.
- The slot machine owner must have an operating license from the Gaming Authority.
Hospitality
If you want to place a slot machine in your hospitality business, the following additional rules apply:
- You have a valid operating license for your catering business.
- You have a valid alcohol license.
- Only catering activities take place in your hospitality business.
What to do.
- You apply for an attendance permit from the municipality.
- If you also own the slot machine, you can apply for an operating license through the municipality at the same time.
- With your application, please mention at least:
- How many slot machines you want to place in your business
- the name and address of your business
- the name and address of the slot machine owner
- Always notify the municipality if anything changes. For example, with a different owner of the vending machine or if you want to place more or fewer vending machines in your business.
How long does it take?
Within eight weeks, you will receive notification from the municipality whether you will receive the permit.
After you receive the permit, you may place the gaming machines.
