Personal budget (PGB).
With a personal budget (PGB) you can arrange Health yourself for psychological or physical complaints, for example. Think of an allowance for household help. You may choose who you hire for this. This can be a professional, but also a neighbor or a family member. This is different from Health in Nature. You receive Health, guidance, help or facilities through an institution or supplier that has a contract with your municipality. With a PGB you can buy a stair elevator or a mobility scooter. Usually you have to pay a personal contribution. This means that you pay part of the costs yourself.
Social Insurance Bank (SVB)
You do not receive the reimbursement in your bank account. So you do not pay the caregivers yourself. You instruct the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) to pay your caregivers. The SVB receives an invoice (bill) or timesheet from the caregiver, or pays monthly. More information about the PGB can be found on the websites of the Rijksoverheid and Zorgwijzer.
Submitting data to SVB
You can submit your details to the SVB via My PGB on the Internet. This is faster than sending them by post or e-mail. You can use your DigiD to log in to My PGB via the SVB website. On this site, you will also find more information about the change when it comes to the PGB. You cannot pay your caregiver by direct debit or authorization.
