Everyone should be able to participate safely and equally in Geldrop-Mierlo. Yet discrimination still often occurs, for example at school, work, sports or on the street. Are you treated unequally or excluded? Then always report this.
When does discrimination occur?
Discrimination means treating someone unequally because of characteristics such as origin, color, religion, sex, age or disability. This is prohibited by Article 1 of the Constitution.
What can you do?
Do you feel discriminated against or see another person being treated unequally? Talk about it and report it. The staff of the service point Discrimination.nl listens to your story, thinks with you and gives advice. You are not alone.
If you file a report, an employee of Discrimination.nl Regio Peel & Kempen will contact you. Together, you will discuss what has happened and what steps are possible. You will receive advice about your rights and the staff member can support you in the next steps.
If you report anonymously, there may be no personal follow-up, but your report counts as an important signal.
