Agreement on the Broad Council Program for 2026–2030
On Thursday evening, the political groups GL/PvdA, DGG, DPM, CDA, D66, and Wij zijn GM/VVD reached an agreement on the 2026–2030 Comprehensive Council Program for the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo.
With this agreement, we now have a joint policy document for the new administrative term. The program builds on the Geldrop-Mierlo 2044 Vision and provides direction for key decisions and developments in the coming years.
Discussions regarding the formation of the new council and the allocation of portfolios have also been concluded. The prospective aldermen will be announced on Monday, June 1, once the screening process has been completed.
The Broad Council Program will be presented to the city council on June 1. The program will be discussed and the new executive committee will be sworn in on June 15, 2026.
The formation period will come to an end on Monday with the presentation of the Broad Council Program and the new council. The formateurs thank everyone involved for their dedication and constructive contributions to the process.
