Election advertising

Election advertising policy rules

Making election advertising in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo is subject to rules. On July 1, 2025 the mayor and aldermen adopted a new designation decree which determines how in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo election advertising may be made. This designation decree is a result of the (successful) pilot in 2024 in which the election posters were delivered digitally. You can read the full text of the designation decree here

New way of working

Political parties participating in the election being organized can submit a digital poster. These digital posters will be processed together on one election banner. At the locations listed below, all banners will be fixed in the frames provided for this purpose no later than 3 weeks before election day.

Only in the municipal elections, each participating party may provide 2 digital posters, one for Geldrop and one for Mierlo. In all other elections, the same banner is hung in both places.

Deadline to deliver digital poster

We ask that you submit the digital poster to us as early as possible.

By Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the digital poster must be received by us in order to still be placed on the election banner.

You can mail the poster to verkiezingen@geldrop-mierlo.nl with a request to place the supplied poster on the election banner.

Format digital poster

The digital poster must be supplied in size A1 (841 x 595 mm) standing poster with bleed (no white edges) in HR (high resolution), preferably an .EPS file.

We can also process a .PNG or .JPG file.
