Play Space Plan
The new Play Area Plan was adopted in 2019. The plan is entitled 'Discover what you can do together!' The plan sets out what we want to achieve with our play areas in the coming years. We want to work together to create challenging play areas and places where young and old can meet. A play area should encourage discovery. You should be able to go on an adventure there. Phase 1 of the Play Area Plan is almost complete. The final phase is scheduled for 2025/2026. This includes play areas in the vicinity of Dorpsstraat and Marktstraat in Mierlo. What does your ideal place to play and exercise look like?
A place where children can play freely, young people can play sports, and local residents can meet each other?
In the vicinity of Dorpstraat and Marktstraat (play areas on Eikendreef, Kapelweg, Morellenhof, Hertenkampstraat, Willigstraat, Loeswijkstraat, and Trapveld St. Johannes), the municipality wants to work with residents to develop new plans for play and sports areas. Places that encourage exercise, discovery, and socializing. And we need your ideas to help us do that!
Discovering together what you can do
In 2019, the municipality adopted the playground plan "Discover what you can do together!" This plan forms the basis for challenging and adventurous playgrounds throughout the municipality: places to play, exercise, meet, and discover.
Some awesome plans have already been put into action in different neighborhoods. Now it's time for the heart of Mierlo!
