Administrative Inspections at Hospitality Businesses in Geldrop

On Thursday, October 1, the Dommelstroom Intervention Team (DIT) conducted administrative inspections at several hospitality establishments in downtown Geldrop. At one of the locations, there was also licensed room-by-room rental. Several fire safety violations were identified due to the daisy-chaining of electrical circuits. Additionally, several fire extinguishers lacked a valid inspection certificate. One person residing at one of the addresses was not registered in the Basic Registration of Persons.

The Dommelstroom Intervention Team is a collaborative effort involving various partners, including the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. The municipality visited the site together with Senzer and the Dutch Labor Inspectorate (NLA). The NLA has launched an investigation into compliance with the Working Hours Act, and Senzer is investigating benefit fraud. The users and/or owners cooperated fully with the inspections.
