Policy Memorandum: Response to Questions and Comments Regarding the Policy-Oriented Council Meeting Held on September 15, 2026

On September 15, 2026, the council held a policy-oriented meeting to discuss the memorandum “Toward a Balanced Budget for 2027.” The council asked questions and made comments during the session. Not all questions could be fully answered that evening. The input was subsequently compiled: 34 points, divided into eight themes. A response was drafted for each point. That response will be sent to the council via the council information letter.

The Executive Board resolves:
1. To approve the Executive Board’s response to the questions and comments raised by the Council during the policy briefing on September 15, 2026 (Appendix 1); 
2. To approve the proposal not to provide a written response on four points;
3. To approve the council information letter (Appendix 2) and to send it to the council along with the response.
