Policy Memorandum on the Bizob 2025 Results

This advisory memorandum is submitted to the Municipal Executive for information regarding a letter from Bizob concerning the distribution of the net income for the 2025 fiscal year. Bizob is a foundation that oversees procurement processes in the region. As a participating organization, we have had a contract with Bizob for several years. Bizob operates on a cost-sharing system, whereby the foundation’s costs are allocated among the participating organizations. This allocation is not made in equal shares but is linked to the level of services each organization receives from Bizob. The financial result for the 2025 fiscal year, minus the withdrawal from equity for the purpose of building resilience, results in a positive balance. The surplus will be returned to the participating organizations. Geldrop-Mierlo will receive a payment of €68,228.05, including VAT. This amount will be allocated to the “procurement and tendering” budget for 2026.

The municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo is preparing for the reconstruction of Adelaartlaan and the construction of a “Blue Vein” in the Coevering neighborhood. The project aims to improve water management, traffic safety, quality of life, and the quality of public spaces. A preliminary design has been drawn up for the project, which integrates various disciplines, such as traffic, green spaces, sewer systems, and climate adaptation. Among other things, the design calls for the construction of a stormwater drainage system (Blue Vein), the replacement of the pavement, and improvements to the layout of public spaces. By a decision dated January 13, 2026, the municipal executive has already approved the release of the preliminary design for public participation. This advisory memorandum additionally requests that the participation plan be adopted and that the further participation procedure be formally ratified.
