Announcement Regarding Early Applications for Grid Capacity for Residential Construction
Due to increasing pressure on the power grid, available transmission capacity is scarce. Under new national regulations, municipalities can now submit housing construction projects to the grid operator earlier.
Are you building one or more homes in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo, or do you plan to do so in the next 10 years? If so, it’s important that the municipality is notified of your project in a timely manner. We can submit residential construction projects to the grid operator for grid capacity assessment earlier in the planning process. We’ll assess whether your project qualifies and submit the application to the grid operator. The rules governing this procedure will be finalized in August and published here at that time.
Submitting a project does not guarantee grid capacity. The grid operator has the final say on the allocation of capacity.
