Gijzenrooijseweg Temporarily Closed for Maintenance
Gijzenrooijseweg, between Eindhovenseweg and Emopad, will be temporarily closed from September 14 through September 18. The closure is necessary to repair cracks in the asphalt and prevent further damage during the winter.
The work is being carried out by AWS Asfaltwerken. Because the road layout makes it unsafe to allow traffic to pass by the work site, one direction of traffic will be completely closed off at a time.
Closures
From September 14 through 16, Gijzenrooijseweg will be closed from Eindhovenseweg toward Emopad. After that, from September 16 through 18, the direction of traffic will be reversed, and the road will be closed from Emopad toward Eindhovenseweg.
Detour
Through traffic will be rerouted via Eindhovenseweg, Nieuwendijk, Mierloseweg, Johan Peijnenburgweg, and Laan der Vier Heemskinderen. The bike paths will remain open. Please allow for extra travel time and follow the posted detour route. The schedule is subject to weather conditions and may therefore change.
