Street lighting maintenance
The municipality is replacing outdated street lighting. The old, energy-inefficient lamps are being replaced by new energy-efficient lamps equipped with LEDs that emit white light, direct the light more accurately, consume less energy, and are dimmable. Due to the replacement of the lamps, the lighting experience may be different than before.
In the week starting Monday, January 26, Heijmans will commence work on the following streets:
Geldrop: Hertogenlaan, Hofdael section, Bocxweerdpad, AH Laan van Tolkien parking lot, and WC Coevering parking lot
Mierlo: Hertenkamp Street and Molenhoek parking lot
At this time it is not possible to indicate exactly when work will take place on which street. There may be some disruption to traffic during the work.
Energy Savings
With these replacements, the municipality realizes another energy savings and thus contributes to an objective of the Energy Agreement, the reduction of energy consumption in public lighting.
