Open House on the Luchen-Oost Plans
Do you live near Luchen-Oost? Or are you looking for a place to live? If so, this message is important for you. The municipality is working with developers and a housing authority on plans for this area. We’d be happy to tell you more about this during an open house on May 13.

New residential neighborhood
The plans focus on housing development. The municipality aims to create a pleasant residential neighborhood here with affordable housing for various groups. There will also be a focus on green spaces and water features. To make this possible, the plans call for slightly more compact and taller buildings than in other parts of Luchen.
What to expect.
During the meeting, you will receive information about:
- the location of the area
- plans for housing construction
- the layout of the neighborhood
- the design of public spaces
- the procedure and schedule
Feel free to walk around, ask questions, and share your ideas or concerns. You can also fill out a short survey. Our goal is to identify housing needs and preferences and gather feedback to serve as a starting point for further developing the plans
Your opinion matters
The city, developers, and housing association would like to hear your thoughts on the plans. Your ideas and concerns will be collected and, where possible, incorporated into the further development of the plans. It’s good to know that you’re contributing your input, but you’re not involved in the decision-making process. Ultimately, the city council makes the decisions.
