Have your cat, rabbit, or ferret microchipped for free at the Eindhoven Animal Shelter on Sunday, April 12.
Residents of our municipality can have their cat, rabbit, or ferret microchipped for free on Sunday, April 12, at the ROZE animal shelter located at Kanaaldijk Noord 127A in Eindhoven. Through this initiative, the municipality and the animal shelter aim to prevent pets from ending up in shelters unnecessarily.
Every year, thousands of animals end up in shelters. Because many of these animals are not microchipped, the chances of them being reunited with their owners are slim. The free microchipping event on Sunday, April 12, is intended to prepare for the upcoming mandatory microchipping and registration requirement for cats and to reduce the number of stray animals in the spring and summer. Last year, the animal shelter took in approximately 1,200 cats and 70 rabbits. An Make an appointment required and can Make an appointment via the animal shelter’s website.
There are a limited number of spots available: first come, first served. www.rozeindhoven.nl/chipactie
