College proposal property The Food Bank

Stichting Voedselbank Geldrop-Mierlo fulfills an important social function within the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. It offers emergency aid to people who for a shorter or longer period of time cannot make ends meet financially. For a number of years it has been using the premises at Industriepark 6 in Geldrop and a new rental agreement needs to be drawn up. A one-time subsidy request has also been submitted and needs to be decided on.

College Decision:

  1. To agree to the lease agreement for the property, with the Nissen hut remaining the property of the municipality;
  2. Fully subsidize rent and energy costs through an appreciation grant;
  3. Coverage is provided by rental income;
  4. To approve the determination order for a one-time grant "Temporary Expansion Food Bank";
  5. To reject the requested one-time grant of €16,000.
