2 | RIB stavaza entry into force OmgevingswetOn January 1, 2024, the Omgevingswet came into force. In order to be well prepared for this change in the law, the council made some important decisions at the end of 2023 about advisory rights, delegation and (mandatory) participation. When dealing with these decisions, it was promised to inform the council further about the entry into force of the Omgevingswet and to evaluate this after approximately 1 year. The College decides to approve the attached Council Information Letter. | |
3 | Advisory note on decision on objections to logging permits BeechAn objection was filed against two felling permits in the street Beuk in Mierlo. Initially an attempt was made to reach a solution through official consultation. This was not successful. The residents in the street were divided; some wanted removal and/or replacement of the trees, others retention. The College decides: | |
4 | Advisory note on redesigning St. Joseph SquareThe college approved the final design for the redevelopment of the public space around St. Joseph Church in 2021. In 2023, the developers started the conversion of the church. Following the actual start construction, the final design was reviewed again. Here it was found that the design no longer meets current policy standards. Consider the greening and water tasks of the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. The new design is more climate robust. After the adoption of the new VO a participation process was started. Following this process the final design (DO) has been shaped. The college decides to approve the final design (DO) of the public space St. Joseph Square. | |
5 | Advisory note second amendment Policy rule on subsidy to make sports and welfare accommodations more sustainable 2024-2026On December 12, 2023, your college adopted the "Policy Rule on Subsidizing Sports and Welfare Accommodations Geldrop-Mierlo 2024-2026". Due to an emerging confusion about the term 'accommodation' in this policy rule, an applicant has received a subsidy amount that exceeds the maximum subsidy amount of €20,000 included in the rule. The college decides: | |
6 | Advisory note updated annexes Program Land Policy and Cost RecoveryIn December 2023, the Land Policy and Cost Recovery Program was adopted including its annexes. As part of the multi-year program budget 2025-2028, the updated annexes will be presented for decision-making. Also, a minor adjustment will be made to the Water Storage Ordinance to secure the link with the Water Compensation Provision of the Land Policy and Cost Recovery Program. This advisory memorandum deals with these matters in terms of content. The final decision points are included in the council proposal for the budget, which will be dealt with simultaneously in the college. The college decides to approve the inclusion of the two decision points in the council proposal for the budget, the corresponding annexes of the Land Policy and Cost Recovery Program and the amended Water Storage Ordinance. | |
