Advisory Note Mandate Questions Views Submitted Draft NPRD

Defense will be more emphatically present in the living environment in the future. As the armed forces grow, so does the need for space to practice and train, both abroad and in the Netherlands. Therefore, the armed forces are being expanded, with equipment, sites, weapons and personnel. To this end, a Draft National Program Space for Defense (NPRD) has been drawn up in which the spatial expansion needs of the Defense forces in the Netherlands arising from this general growth of the armed forces are described. A claim on space is also being made within Geldrop-Mierlo. One of the new low flying areas is located for a small part within Geldrop-Mierlo. It concerns the area near Voortje, Trimpert and A67. It has been discussed with the regional municipalities around De Peel to draw up a joint view and submit it per municipality. From May 28 to July 9, 2025 we can react (submit views) to the Draft National Defense Space Program. This memorandum has been prepared to request a mandate for the portfolio holder to submit the view because of the short time frame.

The college decides to approve the proposal to mandate portfolio holder to submit views on the Draft National Defense Space Program.
