Lots of greenery, most facilities within walking distance, diversity of housing types. Yet there are also challenges, for example in the areas of health, safety and welfare. The municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo and Woonbedrijf have the ambition and feel the responsibility to tackle this task together. On June 9, the college decided to enter into a long-term cooperation agreement with Woonbedrijf. At the request of Woonbedrijf, two minor changes have been made to the agreement. 5 | College proposal Technical commissioning of dowryOn January 1, 2024, the Omgevingswet entered into force. Since then, Geldrop-Mierlo has had one environmental plan by operation of law. For now, the environmental plan consists only of a temporary part. Part of this temporary environmental plan are the rules that the State transferred to the municipality on January 1, the so-called 'dowry'. In order to be able to change the rules of the environmental plan at a later time, it is necessary to administer the dowry. This involves making some linguistic adjustments and technical changes to the temporary part of the environmental plan. The amendment has no legal effect and the conduct of a procedure is not necessary. However, the decision must be published. This will take place on September 18 next. The changes are described in more detail in the attached (draft) decision text. The college decides to adopt the proposed amendment to the environmental plan that technically puts the dowry into management. | |
6 | College proposal Guaranteeing Playground the VikingThe Viking Playground Foundation plays an important role in the community's youth welfare and social cohesion, but is currently in an administrative and financial impasse. The old director has deregistered himself from the Chamber of Commerce and blocked the bank card, preventing the new board from accessing the bank account. The only way to ensure that the new board can be registered at the Chamber of Commerce is by starting a petition procedure with a lawyer. This involves a cost of €2,000. The playground cannot pay these costs until access to the account is restored. The lawyer is willing to defer payment, provided the municipality guarantees the costs.
