College proposal Energy surcharge 2023The amendment to the law allowing municipalities to reinstate a one-time energy surcharge for minimum wage households in 2023 is expected to take effect in June. According to the government, it is not necessary to give municipalities room to anticipate the law change. This is stated in the submitted bill. The government states that the financial leeway of low-income households will be greater this year than in 2022. A portion of the 2023 energy allowance may be paid earlier, however. Municipalities may choose to pay out 500 of the 1300 euros even before the law change takes effect. The college decides in mid-March to proceed with the ex officio payment of the energy allowance 2023 to the households who received a decision Energy Allowance 2022, being € 500,- per household based on the Law and Policy Rules One-time Energy Allowance Geldrop- Mierlo 2022 and to cover this from the December Circular 2022; |

Use of field hockey field and running track MierloSince the 2022-2023 season, HC Mierlo has had capacity problems on its fields. The club has grown considerably and desperately needs the fields. In the past, agreements have been made regarding the use of artificial turf field 3 and the surrounding running track, also called cinder track. these agreements mean that HC Mierlo can make less use of artificial turf field 3 and therefore does not always come around with the schedule of training sessions. It was agreed with Runner Group Mierlo by letter on January 14, 2019 that they may use field hockey artificial turf field 3 on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to hold training exercises there. This is also the time when the running group uses the so-called cinder track that surrounds the field. For the club, this is a pleasant time and also a fine construction. At the time when the field is not being played the field hockey, this gives the runners a safe and quiet feeling allowing them, without noise of balls against the fence or ball catchers, to concentrate sufficiently on running. Because of capacity problems, HC Mierlo would also like to use the field hockey field on Thursdays between 19:00 and 20:30. Regarding the exercises the runner group performs on the field during this time block: these can also be performed at another place on the sports park. However, the runner group has strong objections to playing field hockey on the field when the runners use the running track around the field. Talks to come to a mutual solution did not have the desired effect, as a result of which it was decided to have the municipal executive decide on the use of synthetic turf field 3 on the Oudven Sports Park. The College decides to continue the commitment made on January 14, 2019 to runner group Mierlo to use artificial turf field 3 at sports park Oudven on Thursdays between 19:00 and 20:30. However, this issue of use and capacity should be considered in the redevelopment of the entire sports park in the future. |

Advisory Note Podcast Geldrop MierloFollowing the August 30 college meeting, you asked for additional information about using podcast as a municipal communication tool. To answer this question, this opinion addresses: -What a podcast is; -In what ways it can be used; -How can the podcast be used for the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. The college decides to start recording a pilot episode and work toward a series of episodes in which a portfolio holder will engage in conversation with resident, entrepreneur or organization. Alternately, the different portfolio holders will be invited. Portfolio holders can suggest preferred topics and will be included in the series. An appearance frequency of once every two weeks seems a good starting point. |
