Progress and accessibility Bekelaar redevelopment (Mierlo)
The redesign of the Bekelaar is underway. The work runs from the traffic circle with Brugstraat to the municipal boundary. The part outside the built-up area up to the municipal boundary will also receive new asphalt. This approach should improve traffic safety, reduce the speed of traffic and make crossing safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
State of affairs within the built-up area (Loeswijk to Hof van Huijbers)
The contractor is currently performing work on this stretch of road. Because of this it is temporarily not possible to reach the houses along this trajectory by car. Residents have been informed by letter.
- Asphalting: On Oct. 21 and 22, the new asphalt layer will be applied.
- Driveways: Following this, driveways will be constructed in phases. Once this work is completed, the homes along this route will be accessible again by car.
- Starting Oct. 22, the properties will again be accessible from Mierlo via the Bekelaar.
- Asphalt top layer: During the week of November 10, the final asphalt top layer will be applied. Please note that from Monday, November 10 to Thursday, November 13, the homes along this stretch will not be accessible by car between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please park your vehicle outside the work area.
The schedule depends on progress and weather. We will communicate any changes by letter to local residents.
