Vacancy Construction and Housing Supervisor
(28-36 hours, scale 9)

Your challenge
As a building and living supervisor you have an important function in our municipality. Based on your advisory and monitoring role, you will contribute to the safety, health and quality of the living environment in Geldrop-Mierlo. You work and check, among other things, user and building activities based on established regulations. You also work preventively and continuously contribute to the improvement of work processes. You process reports, supervision and enforcement cases administratively and you are able to carefully record your findings in reports.
To ensure legal certainty for general regulations, you work well with your colleagues and other enforcement partners. You naturally seek cooperation with your colleagues, such as the other supervisor, the BOAs, the enforcement lawyers and the case managers of permits.
Working as a building and housing supervisor in Geldrop-Mierlo is interesting because:
- You have a lot of freedom and responsibility. You coordinate work outside, check work by third parties and handle acute problems independently.
- Your workday is never the same You are constantly working with others. You have various contacts, from contractors and constructors to entrepreneurs and residents. Internally, you continuously coordinate with colleagues involved in a case.
- You are a part of regional collaborations, such as the Dommelstroom Intervention Team. This intervention team tackles complex administrative issues.
- You will be working in a nice and stable team. Our close-knit team consists of 14 colleagues. BOAs, enforcement lawyers, supervisors and colleagues on public order and safety are part of your team.
In short, you really contribute to the spatial quality within our municipality and you ensure a safe and livable Geldrop-Mierlo!

What do we offer you?
- A salary of up to €4,811 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week) depending on your education and experience (salary level October 1, 2024)
- Individual choice budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary.

- An employment contract for the duration of one year with the prospect of permanent employment.

Content We are looking for a new colleague who possesses:
- HBO working and thinking level.
- Knowledge of omgevingswet and BBL (Building Code Construction Works Environment).
- Preferably completed training in ABW1 e/o ABW2 and fire safety.
- Construction knowledge is a plus.
