Vacancy: Spatial Domain Strategist
(36 hours, scale 11)
As a Spatial Strategist, you will shape the future of our municipality. You will bring the Woongeluk 2044 vision to life by translating it into clear choices and impactful projects that ensure healthy urbanization, broad prosperity, and vibrant communities. From your central role within the spatial domain, you will connect strategy with implementation and bring together diverse interests to create integrated solutions that work today and make a difference tomorrow.
Your challenge
As a Spatial Strategist, you will be part of the strategic core of our organization. Together with the group strategist, the Social Strategist, the Housing Program Manager, and various policy advisors, you will bring interests together and Health coherence between spatial and social developments. From your central role within the spatial domain, you connect vision and implementation and move smoothly between management, colleagues, and external partners.
You make a difference because you:
- advises the board, team managers, and strategic colleagues and monitors the integrity between vision, strategy, frameworks, and implementation;
- identifies trends and developments and translates these into forward-looking policies that have both internal and external impact;
- connects internal and external partners around strategic tasks and builds a strong network with, among others, corporations, healthcare providers, and regional partners (MRE, SGE);
- actively contributes to strategic processes, including parts of the Planning & Control cycle;
- plays a key role in budget programs and projects within the spatial domain and the Society domain.

The team
You will be working within the Spatial Domain, Strategy and Spatial Policy team, alongside colleagues such as Martijn (housing), Judith (urban development), Hugo (social domain), and Bob (corporate strategist). Together, you form the strategic core of the organization and look forward to your arrival.

What can you expect from us?
- A salary of up to €6,343 gross per month (based on 36 hours, depending on experience, scale 11, salary level January 1, 2026).
- Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary.

Who are you?
You are a strategic thinker who is confident, easily connects with others, and switches between thinking and doing. You also bring the following to the table:
- You have demonstrable experience as a strategic advisor or spatial strategist;
- You have strong analytical skills and can translate complex spatial and social issues into practical advice;
- You have experience working with boards, management, and other strategists in a municipal or public context;
- You have an affinity for housing, urban development, and community building;
- You are good at connecting, both internally within the organization and externally with partners in the region.
