Your new challenge
As an Environmental Law Attorney, you will perform all legal work in the field of environmental law, including the Omgevingswet the four accompanying Decrees, the Environmental Management Act, and the General Administrative Law Act. In addition to advising on environmental law issues, you will handle objections and appeals in this area. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- ·You represent the municipality in objection and appeal proceedings, including representing the municipality in court before the administrative judge.
- You actively contribute to policy development in the field of permits and spatial planning.
- You assess the consequences of changes in legislation and regulations and advise on working methods and processes.
- In this position, you will advise the municipal council on issues relating to permit applications and spatial developments.
- You monitor, check, and improve the quality of our team's legal work.
- You advise colleagues on legal aspects of spatial initiatives.
- You conduct research into permit applications within the framework of the Public Administration Probity Screening Act (Wet Bibob).

You will be joining the Spatial Development team at the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo. Our team consists of approximately 31 colleagues. You will be working directly with colleagues in the areas of Environmental Permits and Spatial Planning Law. The municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo is a medium-sized municipality where personal input and initiative are valued!

Here's what you can expect from us
- A salary of up to €6,343 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week) depending on your education and experience (salary level January 1, 2026).
- Individual choice budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary

- An employment contract for the duration of one year with the prospect of permanent employment.
