Your new challenge

As an enforcement officer for the residential and living environment, you will engage in dialogue with residents, entrepreneurs, and associations to find out what is going on and what matters in the neighborhood. In doing so, you will work as a neighborhood BOA (special investigating officer) by connecting with others and taking a preventive approach. You will assess what is needed to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood and engage in dialogue where necessary. You will work closely with other BOAs, the police, and other partners. Where necessary, you can rely on the Quality of Life and Safety team for support.

Enforcement is the final step in your approach when preventive measures have not had the desired effect. When enforcement is necessary, you are able to conduct a constructive and corrective conversation and draw up a report correctly. In doing so, you enforce national and local regulations such as the General Local Regulation, the Environmental Management Act, the Road Traffic Act, the Waste Regulation, and the Towing Regulation.

You will respond appropriately to complaints or reports from our residents. You will be responsible for handling, following up, providing feedback, and registering these complaints and reports. Where you see a pattern in complaints or reports, you will be able to proactively come up with an appropriate approach to reduce nuisance and improve the quality of the living environment for our residents. Finally, we ask you to regularly conduct BRP . You will do this in consultation with our colleagues from the Public Affairs team.

Your work as a BOA requires flexibility on your part. We regularly work evening and weekend shifts. Together with the BOA team, which consists of three other BOAs in addition to yourself, you will discuss what is appropriate in good time and draw up a schedule. You are also flexible in how you get around. You use the service vehicles, our bicycles, or walk around the neighborhood.

In short, in your varied role as a BOA in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo, you actively contribute to the quality of life in our municipality and Health a safe living environment!
