Your challenge

As a Social Policy Advisor specializing in Youth Affairs, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for young people in Geldrop-Mierlo. You will work at the intersection of policy, implementation, and social partners, helping to build a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for young people to grow up in. Whether you are working on positive youth policy, youth participation, or reducing youth nuisance, you will see what is needed, bring parties together, and ensure that plans become reality. With your fresh perspective and connecting style, you will set the course and get others on board.

Your tasks will include:

  • developing and implementing forward-looking youth policy that focuses on prevention, leisure activities, and safety;
  • managing and strengthening projects and initiatives that contribute to the positive development of young people;
  • connecting residents, professionals, youth workers, educators, and safety partners to make a lasting impact together.

The Strategy & Policy Society team, where you will be working, consists of policy advisors, area directors, and employees in the social domain. Your shared motivation is to strengthen a safe, healthy, and promising living environment for all residents, with a special focus on young people.

What can you expect from us

  • A salary of up to €5,554 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week) depending on your education and experience (salary level January 1).
  • 2026).
  • Individual choice budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary.
  • Variable working hours.
  • Favorable pension fund and compensation for furnishing your home office.
  • You will also have access to a phone and laptop, and electric bicycles are available for work appointments.
  • An employment contract for a period of one year.

 Who are you

You know how to connect policy, implementation, and residents. You work closely with partners in the region and advise the council, the college, and various external parties. You have a feel for political and administrative processes and know how to clearly substantiate financial and substantive accountability.

In addition, you have:

  • experience in the field of Youth (and preferably also Education);
  • knowledge and/or experience with the Youth Act;
  • higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking;
  • fresh insights and the ability to turn ideas into action;
  • experience with project-based and independent work;
  • Good communication skills and the ability to deal with diverse interests.
