Fine

  • If you do not pay a parking fee, you may be issued a parking ticket. You can find the cost of this in the Public Prosecutor's Office's fines database. This is called an additional tax assessment.
  • Error parking is a violation. This includes parking on public green space, on the sidewalk or when parking is prohibited. Illegal parking in a disabled parking space is also fined. Fines are not handled through the municipality, but through the Central Judicial Collection Agency (CJIB) in Leeuwarden.

Blue zone

In Geldrop there is an area with a blue zone, namely at the police station and at the parking lot De Meent and behind the town hall. At Bethanië House in Mierlo there is also a blue zone. This zone is indicated by a blue sign and the spaces have blue marketing. The maximum parking time is two hours. You need a parking disc to park. It must be clearly visible in your vehicle. On the disc you indicate what time you start parking. This applies Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Outside those times and on weekends, parking is free. A parking disc costs about 1 euro and can be purchased at various stores including auto parts stores, household stores and gas stations.

Waiver

If you want to park longer in the blue zone, you can request a waiver from the municipality. Read more about dispensation.

Disabled

Disabled people with a disabled parking permit do not have to pay parking fees and may park in the disabled parking spaces reserved for them. If traffic conditions allow, you can get your own disabled parking space near your home.
