Parents and educators: start the conversation about drug use with your adolescent(s)

In the challenges of parenting, communication is important. Especially when it comes to sensitive topics such as alcohol, drugs, gambling and gaming. Many parents and educators find it difficult to talk about this with their adolescent(s), understandably so. Therefore, during the Week of Parenting* SKIP calls on parents and educators to start the conversation with their adolescent(s) about drug use.

In addition to the campaign aimed at parents and educators, SKIP is repeating the "I SKIP" campaign aimed at young people during the same period. By targeting both audiences simultaneously, families receive the message from two sides. The goal of the campaigns is that parents and educators strengthen their role and young people make a conscious choice regarding
drugs (use). Children include their parents' opinions in their final choice to use or not, which is why it is important to start the conversation.

The Week of Parenting takes place from Oct. 13 to 19, and the campaigns run from Oct. 6 to 26.
