Help think about the future of the area.

The area around the Goorsedijk, northeast of Mierlo, is a transitional area between village and countryside. There are plans for new housing, a swimming school and an artificial turf field for soccer club MIFANO. At the same time, the municipality wants to preserve nature and existing qualities.

Thinking along during meetings

To properly streamline these developments, the municipality wants to create a future vision for this area together with residents, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders. We call this the Development Perspective Goorsedijk. Therefore, we are organizing a number of meetings in the coming period.

First meeting: Sept. 25, 2025 

  • Location: City Hall, De Meent 2, Geldrop
  • Time: Start at 7:30 p.m. (walk-in from 7:15 p.m.)

At this meeting we will gather ideas, wishes and concerns from people involved in the area. Everyone is welcome: residents, business owners and interested parties.

Follow-up meetings 

There will be two more meetings:

  1. Second meeting (probably late 2025, final date to follow)
    Based on the information we collect during the first meeting, we present different future plans for the area. Together we will discuss the pros and cons and choose a preferred variant.
  2. Third meeting (probably early 2026, final date to follow)
    The preferred variant will be developed into a development perspective. We will then present this to all participants.
