Examination of candidate lists by the central electoral committee
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, elections will be held for the members of the municipal council of Geldrop-Mierlo. Seven parties have submitted candidate lists for this purpose:
- DGG (Democratic Grouping Geldrop)
- Mierlo Village Party (DPM)
- We are Geldrop-Mierlo | VVD
- TOGETHER
- D66
- CDA
- GREENLINKS / Party of Labor (PvdA)
Research
The central electoral committee of the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo has examined all candidate lists and drawn up a report. Report I-1 is attached below. No rectifiable omissions have been identified.
Determination of candidate lists
The candidate lists will be finalized in a public session on Friday, February 6, 2026, after which the lists will be numbered.
Set up appeal
Interested parties may lodge an appeal (within four days) with the Administrative Law Division of the Council of State against the CSB's decisions on the validity of the candidate lists and the enforcement of candidate and party names (designations). Appeals may be lodged within four days (no later than Tuesday, February 10, 2026).
Inspection of candidate lists
The candidate lists will be available for inspection at the town hall, De Meent 2 in Geldrop, from Wednesday, February 4, through Tuesday, February 10, 2026. To view the lists, please Make an appointment the Elections Team: (040) 289 38 03 or (06) 38 99 03 82. Because we are granting access to personal data, you must provide identification in order to view the lists. A supervisor will always be present to ensure that:
- the documents are not removed from the folders
- no photos, videos, or copies are made.
