Submitting candidate list

The candidate lists and accompanying documents must be submitted on Monday, February 2, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the central polling station of the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo, located at De Meent 2 in Geldrop. This is a legally stipulated deadline, from which no exceptions can be made.

On January 19, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., we will be organizing a trial submission. An appointment has been scheduled for this with the parties that are known to want to participate in the upcoming municipal elections. Closed session CSB investigation of submitted candidate lists

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the central electoral committee will meet in closed session at 4 p.m. During this session, all submitted candidate lists and accompanying appendices will be examined.

If a failure (error or defect) is detected, this will be reported to the contact person of the political party concerned immediately after the hearing. 

Recovery period absenteeism

On Wednesday, February 4, and Thursday, February 5, 2026, any absences can be made up between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This period is also determined by law.

Public hearing CSB determination of candidate lists and numbering 

On Friday, February 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., a public meeting of the central electoral committee will take place.

In this session, the central electoral committee decides on 

• the validity of the submitted candidate lists,
• about maintaining the candidates appearing on it and
• regarding the retention of the designation (party name/party names) of a political group placed above it.

The lists of candidates will also be numbered during this session. 

Would you like to attend this meeting? Please report to the reception desk at the town hall, De Meent 2 in Geldrop, before 5 p.m. After this, the central electoral committee will process all submitted candidate lists into a single candidate list for the municipal elections in Geldrop-Mierlo on March 18, 2026.
