Insulate your home with the help of a subsidy
Do you sometimes suffer from cold drafts in your home? Or is there a room you prefer not to go into because it can be cold there? More and more people are insulating their homes to ensure a more comfortable temperature indoors. The municipality has a subsidy scheme for people with poorly insulated homes.
Insulating your home has even more advantages. By better 'wrapping' your home, you ensure that less heat is lost. This saves energy and costs and prepares your home for a heat pump. It also increases the value of your home.
Subsidies and information
Taking insulation measures is not equally easy for everyone. Especially for those who have poorly insulated homes, it can be quite a challenge. That is why the municipality is happy to help homeowners with this. The website samenduurzaam.geldrop-mierlo.nl contains an information sheet that briefly and concisely explains what is involved in insulating a home. You can also contact the Energiehuis Slim Wonen (Smart Living Energy Center). Volunteer energy coaches will provide you with free information about energy efficiency.
Are you eligible for the subsidy?
The subsidy scheme for home insulation is available to homeowners with a house built before 1992, with a WOZ value of less than €477,000 and with energy label D, E, F, or G, or two poorly insulated building components. Not sure if you are eligible? Contact the Energiehuis Slim Wonen. The subsidy is also available to people who have already carried out the measures, as long as this was done from 2023 onwards. You can find out more about insulation and the subsidy during a special information evening on February 26 at Brasserie Bruisend in Mierlo. You can register at www.energiehuisslimwonen.nl/themabijeenkomsten.

The subsidy is also available to homeowners' associations and individuals who carry out the measures themselves. On the website, you can also read the story of Hans Manders from Geldrop, who insulated his home a few years ago.
