Who are we looking for?

The lands in Gijzenrooi -spacious 150 hectares- are owned by the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo and Brabants Landschap.

Together, we are looking for an enthusiastic entrepreneur who: 

  • has a clear vision for nature inclusive agriculture. Continue reading here and study the special brochure with all the information.
  • To take on the management of the area, both agricultural and natural, and thus has experience in nature-friendly farming and wildlife management and understands livestock and old field crops.
  • Enjoys hosting and welcoming visitors as a host or hostess.
  • Obviously can run a healthy business and wants to do so for a longer period of time (at least 10 years). 

Management and hospitality should be carried out by the same party. Working together is allowed, but we are looking for a point of contact and offers for the total of management and hospitality. Important dates

  • Apply for introductory interview no later than Nov. 20, 2025.
  • Introductory interviews Nov. 18, 2025 I 1:30 - 9 p.m.: With many applications and applications still coming in between Nov. 18 and 20, there will be an extra round.
  • After introductory meeting. Submit outline proposal (2-3 A4 sheets): No later than December 1, 2025 to the contacts below (offers submitted after December 1 will not be considered).
  • On this basis, 3-4 candidates will be invited to submit their comprehensive and final proposals.
  • Submit final proposals: No later than Jan. 23, 2026.
  • Announcement of choice: No later than March 21, 2026.
  • Start of management and hosting: from 2026, fully operational no later than the end of 2027.
