Share cars available in Geldrop
In the center of Geldrop, shared cars are now ready for use. As a municipality, we want to contribute to sustainable and future-proof mobility by doing so.
Every resident of Geldrop-Mierlo can register through the website of OnzeAuto. The use is simple: through an app you can reserve, open and use the car. When there is sufficient interest in a neighborhood or district, an additional shared car can be placed. In this way, the supply grows along with the demand.
Fewer cars, more space
With shared cars, fewer cars are needed on the streets. One shared car quickly replaces six private cars. That means more space in the neighborhood, less traffic and less CO2 emissions. Also, using a shared car is often cheaper than having your own car: you only pay for use, without any fixed costs.
Sharing a car with the neighborhood
What makes this initiative special is that it is all about sharing within the neighborhood. You are part of a community of neighbors who use the cars together. That makes it more personal, easier and more pleasant than anonymous car sharing.
