Leaf fall period and leaf boxes in the municipality
Autumn has begun again and that means the leaves are falling from the trees. To make it a little easier for everyone, starting today we are again placing leaf boxes throughout the municipality. In total there are about 566 leaf boxes spread over various locations. So there is almost always a leaf bin in your neighborhood.
Important to know
- Leaf baskets are for leaf litter only.
- Branches, trimmings or other yard waste do not belong in the baskets.
- The leaf waste collected is processed separately.
Our employees empty the leaf boxes weekly according to a set route. They also check that there is only leaf litter in them. If other waste regularly ends up in a basket (such as branches or garbage), it may unfortunately be necessary to remove the basket.
Relocation or removal of leaf boxes
Sometimes we need to temporarily move or remove a leaf basket, such as when:
- the hive is difficult for our vehicles to access;
- the basket is often used incorrectly;
- the basket is hardly used.
We will remove all leaf baskets again at the end of December. Once a basket is removed, leaf litter may no longer be deposited in that location.
Interactive Map
There is an interactive Map on the Leaf Box web page. There you can see exactly where the leaf boxes are located in our municipality.
Thank you very much for your help and understanding! Together this is how we keep our community tidy and safe during the fall!
