Because the national decision-making process on the residence principle has been postponed again, there is no new financing system in place yet. However, the regional municipalities want to continue the collaboration and work towards new substantive and financial agreements in 2026. As part of the Housing Stimulus Program (WBI), a study was conducted to determine whether housing construction on the Anna Zorggroep sites (Heggestraat and Laarstraat-Noord) is feasible. A joint integration study has shown that this 'linking opportunity' is not feasible, either financially or spatially. The costs for the necessary parking facilities significantly exceed the maximum land revenues. It is proposed that the two WBI projects on the hospital site be removed from the WBI.
