2 | Annual grants professional organizations 2025Annually, our municipality disposes of grants to civil society organizations. These grants are disposed for 1 year mainly to social organizations working with professional professionals. These grants mainly exceed 50,000 euros per year. For the 2025 grant year, a total of 32 grants have been applied for. The applications come from organizations such as the LEVgroep, Stichting Landgoed Kasteel Geldrop, Stichting Leergeld, Stichting Halt, Basisbibliotheek Dommeldal, etc. In principle, the mandate to decide on the amount of subsidies to these social organizations lies with the team manager Strategy and Policy Society. This with the exception of Basic Library Dommeldal, Stichting MFA Mierlo, Stichting Landgoed Kasteel Geldrop, Stichting Weeffabriek, Stichting De Wiele, Stichting Kunstkwartier and Stichting LEV-group. The subsidies to these organizations require a decision from you as a college. By means of this advice note we ask you to make a decision about the subsidies to these social organizations in the subsidy year 2025. 3 | Advisory note on quadrennial grants 2025-2028Every four years, our municipality disposes of grants to community organizations. These grants are disposed for 4 years to mainly social organizations working with volunteers. These grants are mainly below 50,000 euros per year. The last time we disposed of these grants was in December 2020 for the years 2021 - 2024. For the grant years 2025 - 2028, a total of 134 grants have been requested. The applications come, for example, from organizations such as neighborhood associations, sports clubs and smaller cultural organizations. In principle, the mandate to decide on the amount of these grants lies with the team manager Strategy and Policy Society. The subsidy requests we have received are assessed on the basis of the 'Subsidy regulation for volunteer organizations municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo 2025-2028'. This subsidy regulation has been adopted by you, the college, on July 16, 2024. Sometimes an organization does not meet the Requirements we set in the subsidy regulation. For example, an organization has too few members and/or too few members from our municipality Geldrop-Mierlo. Or the premises of an organization is not included in the appendix of our subsidy scheme. If this is the case, you as a college may decide to still dispose of a grant to this organization. In this advice note we present you with the deviating organizations and ask you to make a decision about the grants to these volunteer organizations for the grant years 2025-2028. 4 | Advisory Note Grants for Events 2025 Tailoring for Foundations and AssociationsBy May 1, 2024, 134 applications for structural grants were submitted for the 2025-2028 timeframe. Of these, 26 applications fall (in part) within the category of events, ranging from small-scale to large-scale public events. In principle, the mandate to decide on the amount of these structural grants lies with the Team Manager Strategy and Policy Society. The subsidy requests we have received for events are assessed on the basis of the standard table 'events' from the 'Subsidy regulation for volunteer organizations municipality Geldrop-Mierlo 2025-2028'. You, the college, adopted this subsidy regulation on July 16, 2024. Sometimes there is a large event for which the subsidy amount from the standard table of the regulation is not sufficient to organize the event. If that is the case, you, the college, have the option of applying customization in the grant award to these organization(s). With this advice note, the college is asked to take a decision on the grant award 2025 and associated funding for C.V. De Kersenpit from Mierlo, Stichting de Drie Harten from Geldrop and Stichting Wintersfeer from Geldrop. 5 | College proposal archive inspectionOn 26-3-2024 the Regionaal Historisch Centrum Eindhoven (RHCe) performed an archive inspection at Dienst Dommelvallei and the three municipalities. This is a standard inspection that takes place biannually. The final conclusion of RHCe for all four organization is the following: "The Health and management of archive documents partially complies with applicable laws and regulations." The council will be informed by council information letter. The results will also be explained via a presentation to the general committee. The presentation is added and held in this proposal.
