Customized help by reducing energy costs

The energy bill is increasingly a topic of conversation. Many people see the energy bill rise compared to previous years, also in municipality Geldrop-Mierlo. The municipality wants to help people keep their energy affordable. In municipality Geldrop-Mierlo we do not leave anyone out in the cold. We do this in three ways. Firstly, we offer all our residents energy advice through our energy-saving coaches. Secondly, we offer general help with finances through tailor-made assistance. Finally, we provide smaller energy-saving products, such as draft strips, mailbox brushes, LED lamps and radiator foil.

Free advice savings coaches

Savings coaches from the Energy House Smart Living will visit your home to see what you can best do in your home to save energy. A visit from the savings coaches is free for low-income renters and homeowners (up to 120% of the assistance limit). Want to sign up for this? Use the application form below. We will then contact you for an energy consultation.

In addition to tailored financial assistance, the municipality also has several schemes for low-income residents. For these, see the Minimaregelingen page.

Small energy-saving measures

The municipality distributes small energy-saving measures such as LED bulbs and draft strips to residents in neighborhoods where there is energy poverty. The municipality joins events/residents' initiatives where handing out free smaller energy-saving measures is desirable. These are neighborhoods in which residents do not always have the money themselves to purchase the energy-saving products. The energy-saving products are intended for low-income residents, but there is no income test. In addition, you can make a Make an appointment appointment with an "energy fixer" who will install the energy-saving products directly in your home.

Make or change an appointment with an energy fixer?

Did you make an appointment during a residents' meeting to have the energy-saving products such as radiator foil and draft strips installed, but something came up? Please let us know as soon as possible by calling the municipality at 040-2893899. We offer the appointment with the energy fixer free of charge. However, the municipality must pay the energy fixer. If you call on time, we can see if someone can take over the appointment from you. Or maybe you know someone yourself, for example neighbors, family or friends, in Geldrop or Mierlo who would like to take over the appointment.
