Progress of phase 2 redevelopment Bekelaar in Mierlo
Work on the section of the Bekelaar between the Loeswijk and the Mierloseweg (municipal boundary) is proceeding as planned. It is expected that the roadway can be opened even earlier than the set date of December 5.
Work Mierloseweg (Someren municipality)
Because the Bekelaar is currently closed to through traffic, the Someren municipality is also carrying out work on the Mierloseweg. In this way we are trying to limit the inconvenience. The work on the Mierloseweg, between the Bekelaar (municipal boundary) and the Herselseweg, will take place from October 13 to November 21.
Accessibility Duck Pool and adjacent residents outside built-up area Mierlo
The Duck Pool road will remain accessible to local traffic during the work, with the exception of a few days (between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.) when the old asphalt will be removed and the new asphalt applied. Local residents will be informed in a timely manner via a residents' letter indicating these days. Until October 22, the Eendenpoel will be accessible via the Mierloseweg (Someren). From October 23, the Eendenpoel will be accessible again from
Mierlo.
Work on bicycle street Oak Avenue (house numbers 8, 10 and 12)
On Oct. 6, work will begin on Eikendreef near house numbers 8, 10 and 12. Here, too, the sewer system will be replaced and new asphalt applied. During the work, the work area will be closed to all traffic. The work is expected to last until the end of November.
Detour
Through traffic from Mierlo to Lierop and vice versa will be diverted via Helmond (Brugstraat - Industrieweg - Geldropseweg - Heeklaan - Kanaaldijk Zuid
West). Bicycle traffic will be diverted via Lungendonk.
Bus line 320
Since July 24, bus line 320 runs through Mierlo and Geldrop again. During phase 2, the bus follows a route via Lungendonk and Goorsedijk.
