Your new challenge
As Permit Officer, what we in the municipality call Case Manager for Environmental Permits, you are the person responsible for coordinating, assessing and processing permit applications in our municipality. An interesting and versatile position because initiators rely on your advice during the preparation of (building) plans. Once these have become concrete, you handle the (draft) applications for environmental permits. Here you take a service-oriented role and your goal is to guide the initiative through the processes as smoothly as possible.
What does a day look like for you:
- Coordination and process monitoring of (draft) environmental permit applications.
- Guide initiatives to the intake table.
- First point of contact for environmental permit applications and handle + review for content leading to final decision making.
- Internal and external coordination/coordination to achieve sound decision making.
- Provide communication with applicants and stakeholders.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of (and developments in) the field, and contribute to the level of knowledge of the environmental licensing task area.
- Monitor legal deadlines, regularly check progress and ensure that the applicant is aware of this progress.
- Advise colleagues on environmental permits, preliminary consultations and spatial initiatives.
- Consultation with agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Fire Department.

You will work within the spatial development team. We work with 28 colleagues on the realization of spatial initiatives, for example Centrum Impuls Geldrop, construction works, apartments, schools, residential division, infill and monuments. You will work closely with three case managers and two administrative colleagues.
What can you expect from us
- A salary of up to € 5313 gross per month based on a 36-hour work week (scale 10, salary level October 1, 2024) depending on your education and experience.
- Individual choice budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary.
- Variable working hours.

- You will also have access to a phone and laptop, and electric bicycles are available for work appointments.
- An employment contract for the duration of one year with the prospect of permanent employment.
Who are you
With your construction and legal knowledge, you quickly arrive at a sound solution when it comes to environmental permits. In addition, you have:
- A college degree in Construction or Environmental Law.
- Experience in the field or experience in the direction of Wabo licensing, Omgevingswet or as a Spatial Planning consultant.
