Job Vacancy Pathway Director Integration

(16 hours per week, scale 9)

Do you really want to make a difference in the lives of newcomers? With us you get the chance to help people on their way to independence in the Netherlands, based on trust and direction. Together with a small and close team you will work on individual integration projects that matter.

Team manager: Hanane Fkihi

Your challenge

As Integration Program Director, you will make a real difference for newcomers in our municipality. You guide them step by step in their integration process, directing the entire process from introduction to completion. You switch smoothly between client, contracted and cooperating service providers and chain partners and know how to choose the right path for complex interests. Together you work towards sustainable participation and self-reliance.

  • You gather information, weigh interests and, together with the integrator, draw up a pathway plan (PIP) that suits his or her situation and learning route.
  • You place orders with contracted and cooperating service providers and monitor the progress of both client and performers.
  • You conduct progress meetings, identify bottlenecks and take action - from making adjustments to imposing a measure or fine if necessary.
  • You carefully record all progress, decisions and results achieved in digital files and coordinate with DUO and other involved parties.

Our organization

Municipality Geldrop-Mierlo has a beautiful and modern town hall where we meet and work together. We embrace a good work-life balance and pay attention to your development and vitality. Examples include the Dommelvallei academy, walking meetings and fresh fruit every day.

At the Municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo, we work from the values: creative (make a difference), reliable (do what you say), and committed (go for it together). We value clear agreements, go from bears to opportunities, and are close to the inhabitants & colleagues. In this way, we create an environment in which we support each other and grow together.

You will work within a (sub)team of three program directors who are also responsible for coordinating the housing of newcomers. Together you form a driven team with a heart for social impact.

Who are you

As program director you have specific knowledge and work experience in the field of integration. You have affinity with people with a migration background and distance to the Dutch labor market. You can switch between different situations and keep the goal in mind. You are an expert and critical discussion partner for external parties and contract partners. You keep good records and make the results and achievements of both clients and service providers visible. Furthermore, you are skilled in managing a caseload and are digitally proficient. Core competencies are result orientation, environmental awareness, cooperation and cultural sensitivity.

We are looking for someone with an HBO working and thinking level, preferably educated in the social domain. You have knowledge of the Integration Act, Participation Act and other relevant laws and regulations. You are familiar with the CMD (Center for Social Participation) in connection with access to Health and support and with the social Map (local and regional). You also have interfaces with education and the labor market. You have experience working with newcomers and know the support options aimed at self-reliance.

What can you expect from us

  • A salary of up to €4,908 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week), depending on your education and experience (salary level April 1, 2025).
  • Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary.
  • Variable working hours.
